Reception Manager / Lead Care Co-ordinator

Job summary

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual, supporting the practice in all aspects of the Practice's daily operations. A prior knowledge of working in an NHS GP surgery is desirable. You will contribute towards managing change and driving improvements with the aim of optimising the efficiency and performance of the Practice. The post is for up to 37.5 hours per week over five days: Monday to Friday. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience.

 

Main duties of the job

 The post holder will support the Practice in delivering high quality patient services. You will be working as Reception Manager and a Lead Care coordinator. You will co-ordinate and manage the Reception working as Manager overseeing reception and Administrative teams, initiating and implementing changes to process that will drive the overall performance of the Practice. The role will require you to co-ordinate and be responsible for facilities and health & safety management and you will be the main point of contact for IT support. As the first line management contact for patient queries & complaints, you will promote and foster positive patient relationships.

 

About us

 The Practice has a list size of approximately 11,000 patients. The Practice Team consists of two GP Partners, four Salaried GPs, a Nursing Team, HCAs, a Pharmacy Team and a well-established administration team. We inhabit modern premises which are located in Serpentine Green Centre, Hampton, Peterborough, where there is good access to shops, sporting facilities and restaurants. There is plenty of secure, free parking to the rear of the Practice.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.

Desirable

  • NVQ/Diploma in administration and/or management (L3).

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in customer facing / service role.
  • Experience of working to deadlines / multi tasking.
  • Experience of working within a team where effective communication skills are essential.

Desirable

  • Experience of working with a GP Surgery.
  • Experience of working with TPP SystmOne.
  • NVQ or equivalent in IT.
